Project Objective:

The APAC Communication team at GF oversees all communications efforts internally and externally for GF in the APAC region. As APAC's semiconductor industry continues to flourish, we are currently seeking an intern with a keen interest in applying their communication, research and digital skills to contribute to our internal and external communications initiatives.

Project Description:

The intern will work closely with the APAC Communication team and global Internal Communications team to develop content in a variety of formats to support internal and external outreach efforts. This will be achieved leveraging strong communication skills and creativity to inform, engage and inspire GF employees around the globe, with a focus on the APAC region. The intern will ideally be a self-starter with strong communication and research skills who enjoys collaborating with others and can adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This person will have a knack for conveying clear, consistent messaging whether written or verbal, and someone who is skilled at editing content to quickly capture audience's attention.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Participate in brainstorming and planning sessions

  • Draft content for social media posts (internal & external) and digital displays

  • Assist in developing and editing draft communications, including talking points, presentations and intranet articles

  • Assist in developing and production of videos to communicate GF's manufacturing solutions and global collaboration

  • Support the global roll out of GF's employee communications campaigns

  • Provide administrative and logistical support for employee communications campaigns and events

  • Support team reporting and metrics activities

Project Outcome:

  • In this project supporting the APAC Communication team, the intern will gain:

  • Experience in developing compelling content for global audiences across a variety of channels

  • Visibility into the inner workings of a global Corporate Communications organization

  • Ownership of concrete deliverables

  • Opportunity to learn a wide range of business-relevant skills, including program management, messaging, audience engagement, events, and social media

Required Qualifications:

  • Education - Actively pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Communications, Public Relations or related Business degree

  • Strong written, social media and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas with diverse and global audiences

  • Skilled in Microsoft O365 applications

  • Must be in good academic standing.

  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

  • Available for a 16-24 week credit-bearing internship commencing January 2027.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of PR concepts and practices - experience interning at a PR agency is a plus

  • Graphic design and/or video editing capabilities

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience

  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.

  • Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter the ability to navigate ambiguity.

  • Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making.

  • An inquisitive mindset and a positive, proactive learning attitude
