My client, a leading global bank, is currently looking for a Corporate Banking Relationship Manager (China Market) to join their Singapore office.
Your new role
Your new role will be a Senior Regional coverage banker with Chinese clients to grow Chinese MNC business for the bank&aposs offices in Asia. Responsibilities include:
- Undertake active marketing to Chinese MNCs, including maintaining direct C-suite contacts with clients&apos global/regional headquarters, and originate domestic and regional business
- Collaborate with global relationship managers in China Branch and relationship managers in responsible Asia offices to enhance business pipeline and expand client base
- Take a lead role in domestic and regional client account management through origination, credit, legal, compliance and operational process
- Co-work with relationship managers in responsible Asia offices to manage credit portfolio with deep knowledge of clients, relevant industries and markets
- Originate & execute industry leading, best-in-class wholesale banking products and solutions and drive sustainable growth (income, balance sheet and profitability), aligned to the objectives to broaden and deepen the share of wallet in the Group Coverage Client base
- Drive growth through existing client relationships and new client acquisitions, inbound referrals into Asia / Develop new-to-bank business relationships.
- Engaging with internal APAC colleagues (i.e. product and risk partners etc), with China GRM network, as well as APAC region branch RMs and product partners through good understanding of the drivers of China - Asian corridors
- Drive a high-performance, client-centric business culture focused on maximising cross-border and cross-product opportunities for the Group.
- Work with product specialists and subject-matter experts to structure innovative and customised solutions that meet clients&apos individual needs
What you&aposll need to succeed
- 15 years of experience in International banking
- Successfully worked and developed his/her career in major Financial Institutions in Asia geographies with experience in corporate client management covering China MNCs in Asia
- Proven track record of origination/execution/distribution of successful transactions in a banking organisation and ideally in a matrix structure
- Display a good understanding of Asian markets, culture and business practices
- Demonstrate good track record of excellent customer relationship management across corporate, multinational organisations
- Showcase good knowledge of the banking product landscape, including Transaction Banking, Corporate Lending, Financial & Capital Markets, Project Finance, Islamic Finance, etc.
- Present good understanding of industry trends, with sensitivity as to how they applies to global subsidiary clients
- Project ability to work as a team across multiple functions and geographies, especially with Global Account Managers, to provide seamless solutions to the Client in line with their global strategy & policy
