Job Description

Job Title: Workplace Safety & Health Coordinator (WSHC)

Experience:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Workplace Safety & Health, preferably in airside works, aerodrome infrastructure, airport runway/taxiway projects, or similar operational environments.

Location:
Singapore - Changi Airport

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: Shift 1: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM / Shift 2: 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Sunday & Public Holidays: Off
  • 1-hour lunch break for 8-hour shifts
  • Average working hours not exceeding 44 hours per week, excluding lunch break.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Workplace Safety & Health Coordinator (WSHC) to oversee workplace safety, health and housekeeping matters for infrastructure and airside works in an operational airport environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with WSH and airside safety requirements.
  • Supervise safe execution of works and monitor housekeeping standards.
  • Review risk assessments, method statements and work procedures for safety compliance.
  • Identify and report unsafe work practices, conditions and WSH/airside non-compliance.
  • Ensure contractors comply with approved safety measures, permits and procedures.
  • Maintain daily safety records, inspection reports, FOD checklists, toolbox meeting records and other WSH documentation.
  • Investigate safety incidents, accidents and safety infringements and prepare reports.
  • Coordinate safety matters with contractors, site supervisors and relevant stakeholders.
  • Attend toolbox meetings, safety coordination meetings and site progress meetings.
  • Monitor implementation of corrective and safety improvement actions.
  • Support emergency response activities and investigations when required.
  • Ensure work areas, vehicles, machinery and obstructions comply with required airside clearance and safety standards.
  • Carry out other safety-related and administrative duties as required.

Requirements

  • WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health (Level B) / Safety Coordinator.
  • BCSS or Supervise Construction Work for WSH certification.
  • bizSAFE Level 2 / Develop a Risk Management Implementation Plan or equivalent.
  • Occupational First Aid certification.
  • CSOC or Apply Workplace Safety and Health in Construction Sites certification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of WSH regulations, risk assessment and site safety practices.
  • Good communication, coordination and reporting skills.
  • Airside/airport project experience will be highly advantageous.
