Authentic Tiong Bahru Boneless Hainanese Chicken Rice is coming to Orchard Road.

We are looking for Cooks and Kitchen Assistants to join us.

Singaporeans only as we currently do not have any quota.

Job description

Cooks

Food Preparation

o Assist in preparing ingredients such as garlic, ginger, chili, and herbs.

o Portion and plate steamed, roasted, or poached chicken according to guidelines.

o Help prepare sauces (chili, soy, ginger-scallion) under supervision.

Cooking

o Cook and monitor rice using traditional chicken stock method.

o Warm or reheat side dishes as needed.

o Follow standard recipes and portion sizes.

Kitchen Operations

o Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen station, tools, and equipment.

o Store food safely and correctly following food hygiene standards.

o Assist with stock checks and inform supervisors when ingredients are running low.

Kitchen Assistants

• Assist in basic food preparation, such as washing, cutting, and portioning chicken, vegetables, and other ingredients.
• Help with plating chicken rice dishes, soups, and sides during peak hours.
• Prepare sauces, condiments, and garnishes according to set recipes or instructions.
• Ensure all kitchen equipment, tools, and work areas are kept clean, sanitized, and in good working condition.
• Wash and clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment after use.
• Receive and store food supplies properly, ensuring FIFO (First In, First Out) rotation.
• Dispose of kitchen waste properly and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Assist with stocking up ingredients and restocking stations during service.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.

Requirements:

1. Relevant working experience in preparation of chicken rice and previous experience in working in a chicken rice restaurant is highly preferred
2. 5.5 days work week
3. Able to work long hours and work on weekends and public holidays
