Job Description

Job Summary

Support the Head Chef to ensure smooth daily kitchen operations, assist in menu preparation, control raw material and food quality, monitor production compliance, and minimize food waste while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to maintain efficient daily kitchen operations
  • Assist in preparing menus, recipe cards, and plating guides to support consistent food quality
  • Coordinate with receiving and purchasing teams to monitor and control raw material quality standards
  • Inspect food items to ensure they meet quality and sanitary standards, applying First in First Out kitchen practices
  • Monitor food production to verify compliance with prescribed recipes and specifications
  • Enforce standards of food presentation, production accuracy, and portion control
  • Ensure safe and proper use of kitchen equipment and provide guidance to culinary team members
  • Implement measures to minimize food waste and spoilage in alignment with budget goals
  • Perform cashiering duties as needed
