Job Summary

You will assist in daily food preparation and kitchen operations at a Japanese izakaya in the CBD, ensuring food quality, maintaining cleanliness, and complying with food safety standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and assist in cooking dishes according to the Japanese izakaya menu to maintain consistent food quality
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to support daily kitchen operations
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment to meet hygiene standards
Monitor food storage and handling practices to ensure compliance with food safety regulations
Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely food preparation and service
Report any kitchen maintenance or safety issues promptly to supervisors
