Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Indian Cuisine Cook to join our culinary team. You will be responsible for preparing authentic dishes, ensuring consistent quality, and maintaining high hygiene standards. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of [North/South/Regional] Indian spices and traditional cooking techniques.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Indian dishes, including [curries, biryani, tandoori items, or specialty snacks like dosa/vada], to meet restaurant quality standards
• Operate and maintain a [clay tandoor oven / high-volume curry station / dosa stone] to produce dishes with consistent taste and texture
• Mix, grind, and prepare fresh masalas, marinades, and base gravies from scratch to ensure authentic flavors
• Inspect dishes for taste, temperature, and presentation before serving to uphold quality control
• Manage daily food preparation tasks such as chopping and marinating, and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages
• Follow strict food safety (HACCP) and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Valid Food Safety/Hygiene Certification (e.g., WSQ Basic Food Hygiene in Singapore)
