Job Summary
You will prepare ingredients and dishes, assist with kitchen duties, and support the Head Chef to maintain high food quality and hygiene standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up various kitchen workstations to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Prepare and produce mise en place accurately for efficient service
- Run and expedite line service to meet customer demand promptly
- Maintain food quality and uphold kitchen hygiene standards consistently
- Minimise food wastage by adhering to cost control measures and precise ingredient and portion measurements
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of the outlet strictly
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and work environment to ensure serviceability and safety
Required competencies and certifications
- Possess a certificate in Culinary Skills or GCE O level or equivalent
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Prior work experience in a kitchen or food preparation environment
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, preparation, and procedures
- Demonstrate teamwork through effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Exhibit a positive service attitude, coachability, and willingness to learn
- Maintain a well-groomed appearance and a proactive, can-do attitude
- Ability to work 6 days a week including shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Availability to start work immediately or on short notice
- Own a vehicle for commuting if not residing locally
