Job Summary:
As a Legal Secretary in the Conveyancing department, you will be providing key administrative support to a team of established lawyers, dealing with extensive documentation and handling billing work such property transactions and filings. The ideal candidate for this role is driven, detail-oriented and thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide meticulous secretarial and administrative support to a team of lawyers in the conveyancing department including calendar management and meeting scheduling
Draft, format and review a high volume of legal documents, forms and correspondence related to various property transactions (e.g. sale & purchase agreements, transfer/mortgage documents etc)
Prepare and process billing, client invoices, and liaise closely with the billing team
Manage and ensure accurate and timely submission and filing of documents in accordance with the relevant government and statutory bodies
Requirements:
At least 2-4 years legal secretary experience in conveyancing/property support in a law firm background is highly preferred
Excellent command of both written and spoken English
Keen eye for detail and strong proofreading skills while being able to handle matters with utmost discretion
Highly organized, proactive and self-initiated, being able to deliver on expectations despite tight deadlines
