Contract Manager (Construction)

Job Responsibilities

• Lead team in quantity take-offs, cost estimation, tender preparation, budgeting, forecasting, and subcontractor sourcing.
• Manage prequalification, cost analysis, negotiations, and contract awards to subcontractors.
• Oversee contractual matters including indemnity, warranties, disputes, variation orders, and extension of time claims.
• Evaluate and prepare monthly progress claims, subcontractor claims, and payment responses in line with SOP Act.
• Liaise with consultants and architects for claims and final accounts.
• Ensure accurate documentation for additional works or design changes.
• Implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability.
• Maintain strong document management and distribution systems.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders.
• Supervise and guide team members, ensuring fair work allocation and efficiency.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years relevant experience in cost control and contract administration.
• Strong knowledge of SOP Act, construction practices, and regulations.
• Independent, organized, able to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
• Proficient in MS Office, with strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
