Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Contract Analyst (FX Documentation) to join a leading global financial institution. This role is ideal for candidates with operations, documentation, or financial markets experience who are looking to deepen their expertise in Foreign Exchange (FX), Interest Rate Derivatives, and ISDA documentation.

You will play a key role in supporting the legal confirmation drafting process for FX and Interest Rate Derivative transactions while partnering with stakeholders across Operations, Legal, Compliance, Technology, Sales & Trading, and other business functions.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Documentation & Transaction Support

  • Draft and manage legal confirmations for Foreign Exchange (FX) and Interest Rate Derivative transactions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of transaction documentation in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support resolution of documentation-related issues by coordinating with internal stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate closely with Sales & Trading, Legal, Compliance, Technology, and Operations teams to ensure smooth transaction processing.
  • Build strong working relationships with regional and global counterparts to promote consistency and knowledge sharing across teams.
  • Act as a key point of contact for documentation-related queries and operational matters.

Process Improvement & Risk Management

  • Review existing workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and controls.
  • Leverage business intelligence tools, automation, and data analysis to enhance operational processes.
  • Contribute to strategic regional and global initiatives within the FX and Interest Rate Products business.
  • Support risk mitigation efforts by maintaining strong process controls and adherence to operational standards.

Business & Product Knowledge Development

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of front-to-back trade lifecycle processes.
  • Become a subject matter expert in documentation and operational processes relating to FX and Interest Rate products.
  • Stay informed of market developments, regulatory changes, and best practices within the derivatives industry.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Previous internship experience in Operations, Financial Services, Banking Operations, or Documentation functions.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across multiple functions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of Foreign Exchange (FX), Interest Rate products, and derivatives markets.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements impacting derivatives documentation.
  • Experience with ISDA documentation and legal confirmations.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn complex financial products and processes.
