Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Container Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain our containerized infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Nutanix, Kubernetes, and container technologies such as Podman. You will play a critical role in enabling application teams by ensuring a secure, scalable, and highly available container platform.
Key Responsibilities
. Deploy, manage, and support containerized workloads on Kubernetes
. Design and operate container infrastructure on Nutanix platforms
. Administer Podman for container build, runtime, and lifecycle management
. Support application teams with container deployment, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
. Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of the container platform
. Integrate and support CI/CD pipelines within container environments (where applicable)
. Perform system upgrades, patching, backups, and disaster recovery activities
. Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and storage issues related to Kubernetes and containers
. Maintain documentation of platform architecture, processes, and best practices
. Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to enforce container security standards
Required Skills & Experience
. Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration and operations
. Good knowledge of container technologies, preferably Podman
. Experience with Nutanix infrastructure (AHV, storage, networking concepts)
. Solid understanding of Linux system administration
. Familiarity with container networking, storage, and security principles
. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and container issues
. Experience supporting production systems with high availability requirements
Nice to Have (Advantageous)
. Experience with Kubernetes ecosystems (e.g., Rancher, OpenShift, Helm, Operators)
. Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
. Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, Argo CD)
. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
. Exposure to cloud-native architecture and microservices
. Understanding of Kerberos authentication in Linux and Windows environments
