You will work flexibly across our Key Account Managers portfolios, providing civil engineering input into due diligence assessments, feasibility studies and client proposals, prioritising your time according to live deadlines rather than a single fixed sector.
Responsibilities
- Produce civil engineering content for advisory proposals and due diligence reports: structural, geotechnical and infrastructure risk assessment across buildings, transport, energy and coastal/water assets.
- Support both Key Account Managers and Head of Advisory across live opportunities, prioritising workload according to proposal deadlines and pipeline urgency.
- Coordinate with WSP's wider civil/structural discipline network to source deeper technical input, benchmarks and precedent where required.
- Contribute to scoping and costing of civil engineering workstreams within advisory proposals, including site, marine and geotechnical considerations.
- Maintain a library of proposal-ready civil content, case studies and credentials for reuse across pursuits, working with the Proposals Coordinator.
- 5 to 8 years of civil engineering experience within structures, geotechnical, marine/coastal, or transport infrastructure environments.
- Experience contributing to technical due diligence, feasibility studies, or proposal/tender submissions is a strong plus.
- Ability to translate technical civil engineering detail into clear, client-ready written content under deadline pressure.
- Recognised engineering degree in civil engineering or a related discipline; professional engineer registration (PE/CEng or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Comfortable working across multiple concurrent proposals and sectors rather than a single dedicated project.
- Civil/structural consulting, geotechnical or marine engineering, transport infrastructure, or a contractor/developer technical team with exposure to proposal or bid work.
