The Construction Supervisor (Reinforced Concrete Works) is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all on-site reinforced concrete activities carried out by the team. This role ensures that works are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, drawings, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must be able to read and interpret construction and structural drawings accurately.
- Coordinate closely with relevant parties for inspections, approvals, and site compliance.
- Lead and manage site workers.
- Allocate manpower, materials, and equipment effectively to meet project targets.
- Monitor productivity and provide guidance to improve performance.
- Ensure all reinforced concrete works meet required quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct inspections on formwork, reinforcement, and embedded items prior to concreting.
- Rectify defects and ensure proper finishing and curing practices.
- Enforce site safety rules and regulations at all times.
- Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
- Identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures.
- Coordinate with relevant parties to resolve technical issues.
- Plan daily and weekly work schedules.
- Coordinate deliveries of materials such as rebar, concrete, and formwork systems.
- Maintain daily site reports, including manpower, progress, and issues.
- Submit inspection requests and track approvals .
- Assist in preparation of progress claims and work records
Education & Experience:
- Diploma / Certificate in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in reinforced concrete work.
- Hands-on experience in high-rise or infrastructure projects is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete construction methods.
