Construction Supervisor - Job Scope
1. Site Supervision & Coordination
Oversee day-to-day construction activities on site.
Ensure all works are carried out according to drawings, specifications, safety requirements, and schedule.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients.
Monitor manpower and material usage to prevent wastage.
2. Safety & Compliance
Enforce workplace safety regulations (WSH Act, MOM requirements, etc.).
Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
Ensure workers use proper PPE and follow safe work practices.
Report and investigate any incidents or near misses.
3. Quality Control
Inspect work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Highlight and rectify defects or non-conformances.
Ensure proper installation and workmanship according to approved plans.
4. Progress Monitoring
Track project schedule and report progress to Project Manager.
Identify delays and propose solutions to recover lost time.
Prepare daily/weekly site reports.
5. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain records of site activities, inspections, and approvals.
Assist in preparing work permits, method statements, and risk assessments.
Liaise with authorities for inspections and approvals when required.
6. Team Leadership
Supervise and guide site workers and subcontractors.
Allocate tasks and monitor performance.
Motivate team to achieve productivity and safety targets.
