Job Summary
The Site/Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising minor construction projects from start to completion. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Demonstrated expertise in waterproofing systems, painting works, handyman and minor construction repairs, general maintenance works, and scaffolding erection and supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
- Plan and oversee work projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop project schedules, timelines, and work programs.
- Coordinate with contractors, and clients.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts.
Site Management
- Supervise daily site operations and construction activities, provide support when needed for work completion
- Ensure work is carried out according to plans and quality standards and may require to extend working hours to meet the deadlines.
- Manage subcontractors and site workers.
- Monitor daily work progress and prepare regular project reports.
Budget & Cost Control
- Prepare and manage project budgets.
- Monitor expenses and control costs.
- Approve invoices and manage procurement of materials and equipment.
- Handle contract variations and change orders.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as per BCA standard.
- Work and conduct site inspections and risk assessments.
- Enforce safety procedures and company policies strictly.
Quality Control
- Inspect work to ensure quality standards are met.
- Address defects and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Coordinate final inspections and project handover.
Communication & Reporting
- Maintain communication with stakeholders and clients.
- Conduct site meetings and progress reviews.
- Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and delays.
- Frequent coordination with office teams and field staff.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma qualification required however, candidates with extensive relevant experience in the field are welcome to apply.
- A relevant trade certificate will be an added advantage.
- Proven experience 10+ years with specific experience on waterproofing, painting and minor construction repair work
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
