CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

1. Coordinate site construction team activities and supervise field activities to ensure project completion on schedule and within budget.

2. Assist in preparation of, review and provide construction inputs and technical evaluation of Subcontract Requisition / specification documentation.

3. Maintain construction schedule, order materials and schedule inspections as necessary throughout the construction process.

4. Attend monthly safety meetings, inspection acceptance reports prepare toolbox meetings. Conduct accident investigation & report submission

5. Submit Daily Progress reports and monitor project schedule.

6. Perform day-to-day coordination, liaison, control, and supervision of all internal and external parties including subcontractors and material vendors

7. Responsible for any worker's dormitory, infringement, administrative, and transportation for the workers on 24-hour standby

8. Working on Sunday when required

9. Prepare schedules and supervise completion of final punch list.

10. Ensure job site safety, safe work practices and rectify job site hazards once identified.

11. Coordinate with Client and Operations team on preparation & execution of Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Start-up activities for plant.

12. Site management for construction activities e.g. Civil & Structural, Steel work, erection, piping installation of equipment, E&I, etc.

13. Liaise with local authorities on permitting process and ensure all applicable inspections are completed during construction phase.

14. Prepare and report weekly, Monthly report & forecast project progress.

15. In charge of Claim management from Contractors.

16. Oversee demolition of existing plants and buildings if and when required.

Requirements

1. Above 3 years of Construction Management experience in Petrochemical/ Chemical plants.

2. Master Degree in Construction Engineering/ Construction Management or a related Engineering discipline.

3. Professional certification in Construction Safety Course for Project Manage (CSCPM) and WSQ safety trainings including AWSHPP/OPSOC, AWSHCS/CSOC, Work at Heights (WAH), SWCSO/SICMH, and BCSSC/SCWWSH.

4. Excellent knowledge of local Construction industry codes and regulations.

5. Strong practical knowledge of Permit to Work (PTW) arrangement for project personnel/contractors.

6. Proven record of maintaining positive relationship with internal/external stakeholders including Client, Operations team, Contractors, Suppliers, and other relevant parties.

7. Strong communication and leadership skills with experience in managing multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.

8. Past/current participation in H2 Electrolyser plant projects is an added advantage.

9. Able to commence work at short notice.
