- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications and regulations

- Read blueprints and construction plans to determine work requirements
- Coordinate work activities with other construction project activities
- Order or requisition materials and supplies
- Arrange for repairs of equipment or machinery
- Train workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policies
- Record information such as personnel, production, and operational data on specified forms and reports
- Communicate with project managers or engineers to discuss such matters as work procedures, complaints and construction problems
