Construction Carpenter

1) Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood, plywood, laminates, and other materials.

2) Build, repair, and install structures such as doors, windows, staircases, furniture, cabinets, partitions, flooring and roofing.

3) Operate woodworking machines and finishes for durability and aesthetics.

4) Oversee and coordinate carpentry works on-site or in the workshop.

5) Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.

6) Monitor progress to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

7) Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with design, safety, and building codes.

8) Supervise, train, and monitor junior carpenters and apprentices.

9) Allocate tasks and ensure proper use of tools and equipment.

10) Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support.

11) Foster teamwork and maintain discipline and safety practices on-site.

12) Estimate materials, tools, and labor required for projects.

13) Manage inventory of materials and tools, placing order when necessary.

14) Report progress, issues, or delays to project manager.

15) Check for accuracy in measurements, alignments, and installations.

16) Maintain high standards of craftmanship and durability in all works.
