High Calibre Regional Group Consolidation & Reporting Manager position, with a Reputable MNC at an Aggressive Expansion Phase

Hiring a high calibre Regional Group Consolidation & Reporting Manager, this new hire will be responsible for leading the end-to-end complex group consolidation and financial reporting process across multiple regional entities (> 100+ entities including non-wholly owned subsidiaries, JVs etc). This role ensures timely, accurate, and compliant consolidated financial information, manages complex technical accounting matters, and drives continuous process improvement, standardization, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Process Leadership: Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidation processes across multiple international entities.
• Financial Reporting: Ensure high-quality, timely, and accurate reporting in accordance with IFRS and group policies.
• Performance Analysis: Review monthly consolidations and financial reporting, providing detailed analysis of group performance.
• Technical Advisory: Provide expert technical accounting guidance on complex topics, including M&A, acquisitions, disposals, impairments, and derivatives.
• Audit Management: Manage overall external audit processes, including the review of financial statements and audit deliverables.
• Standards Implementation: Lead and execute new financial reporting standard (FRS) implementations, providing technical support to operations.
• Stakeholder Management: Partner with regional finance teams and act as the key liaison between regional finance, group accounting, and external auditors.
• Special Projects: Support due diligence exercises and special projects with a focus on technical accounting advisory.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive reporting optimization and identify automation opportunities using sophisticated system tools or system enhancements.
• Team Development: Provide guidance, mentoring, and technical capability building to financial reporting team members.

Key Requirements

• Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional field.
• Experience: Minimum 8 - 12 years of hands-on experience in complex group consolidation (>50+ entities and complex group consolidation experience).
• Background: Proven track record in external audit, strong group consolidation, and M&A technical accounting.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep, expert-level knowledge of IFRS and complex group reporting standards.
• Systems Expertise: Proficiency with SAP and advanced group consolidation software.
• Data Automation: Practical experience in driving process efficiency and automation tools.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to diverse stakeholders. Mandarin language capabilities will be essential given the need to manage and interact with key stakeholders in the Chinese markets.
• Execution: Strong analytical problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and a proactive, highly organized mindset.
• Cultural Fit: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional, multicultural teams across different geographies.
