The Job: Conference Producer
We are looking for a Senior Conference Producer to lead the development and delivery of world class conference programmes for two exciting industry events in the Video Games & Digital Marketing spaces: gamescom asia and DMEXCO Asia. This role is ideal for someone who is deeply curious about the gaming, digital marketing, technology, and digital economy sectors, and thrives on turning industry trends into compelling conference agendas. As Senior Conference Producer, you will work closely with global industry leaders, innovators, creators, and investors to curate content that attracts top executives and decision-makers from across Asia and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
Conference Strategy & Content Development
- Research and analyse trends across gaming, digital marketing, AI, ecommerce, and emerging technologies to shape relevant conference themes.
- Design engaging programmes including keynotes, panels, fireside chats, and workshops.
- Develop conference tracks that attract senior industry leaders, innovators, and decision-makers.
- Identify and secure high profile speakers including C-suite executives, founders, creators, investors, and thought leaders.
- Build strong relationships with game developers, publishers, marketing leaders, technology companies, agencies, and platforms.
- Collaborate with industry associations, partners, and advisory boards to ensure programme relevance.
- Coordinate speaker briefings, session formats, and overall programme flow.
Commercial & Strategic Alignment
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop content driven sponsorship opportunities.
- Ensure conference programmes support exhibitor engagement and audience growth.
- Contribute to the long-term content strategy and positioning of both events.
Event Delivery & Programme Management
- Manage the end-to-end production of conference programmes and activities from concept through to onsite delivery.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders towards the common goal of delivering quality, commercially successful conferences.
- Manage external agencies and organisations tasked with producing and delivering specific segments of the conference programme.
- Jointly develop effective marketing plans to attract conference delegates including preparation and production of conference related materials with the marketing team.
- Coordinate pre-event logistics for venue setup, AV requirements, equipment, as well as accommodation and transport of international speakers.
- Manage onsite logistics with speakers and AV crew.
- Manage budgets, procurement, and contracts related to event execution.
- Supervise on-site operations during the event, ensuring professional and seamless delivery.
- Prepare post-event reports, analyse feedback, and recommend improvements for future editions.
Ideal Candidate
Experience
- 4+ years experience in conference production, editorial content, or industry research.
- Bachelor's degree in any field (with a preference for marketing, business, game development or journalism majors).
- Experience working on large scale conferences, trade shows, or media platforms.
- Strong understanding of the gaming, marketing, technology, and digital economy ecosystems.
Skills
- Ability to conduct phone and face-to-face research to uncover industry pain points and trends.
- Strong storytelling ability, able to translate industry trends into compelling conference agendas.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and conference tracks.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how content drives event growth.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Capable to handle stress and troubleshoot last-minute crises (e.g., speaker cancellations) with a can-do attitude.
