About the Team In line with the globalization strategy and vision of the company, the Global Payments Department builds a platform to provide cross-border payment solutions for all ByteDance's products and services, that are growing rapidly worldwide. The compliance solution function under Compliance Team is a global function responsible for building and scaling a best-in-class and end-to-end business and payment compliance solution. About the Role We are seeking a Compliance Solution Manager for our team. This is a pivotal role that owns and orchestrates compliance solutions from inception to implementation and beyond. As a Solution Manager, you will be the central point of accountability for designing, documenting, and delivering robust, scalable, and business-friendly compliance solutions. You will ensure that our services and products are compliant and effective in managing risk. Key Responsibilities - Conduct Financial Crime Compliance Risk Assessments: Assess new product/services to identify risks and develop mitigation solutions. Advise the business teams, and product teams, and compliance operations on how to implement compliance requirements in a customer-oriented way while fully adhering to compliance. - End-to-End Solution Ownership: Take full accountability for the entire compliance solution lifecycle, from translating local regulatory compliance requirements and benchmarking, into practical and actionable solution designs to overseeing function delivery. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the key liaison between Product Compliance, Legal, Business Solution, Technology, and Operations teams, etc. Ensure all stakeholders are aligned on the risk appetite and compliance requirements, and dependencies are managed. - Manage Post-Launch Monitoring and Optimization: Own the compliance outcomes after go-live. Continuously monitor performance, lead root-cause analysis for any deviations, and drive a feedback loop for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Ability to analyze and interpret complex compliance requirements and translate them into practical, actionable solution designs for various business, especially for E-commerce/Shop marketplace model. - Ability to prioritize effectively and identify key areas of improvement and implementation considered from a business growth and payment compliance point of view. - A strong understanding of the end-to-end business launch and product development lifecycle and the role. compliance plays within it. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate complex compliance concepts to non-specialists and build consensus across diverse teams, provide actionable and value added compliance solutions to business teams, product, and operation teams on AML/CFT matters Preferred Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in compliance advisory, compliance product, MLRO, or a similar role enabling business solutions in a compliant manner within the fintech, payments, or financial services industry. - Direct experience in designing or managing compliance solutions related to AML/CFT, customer onboarding, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, customer risk rating, etc - Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, driving outcomes and holding cross-functional partners accountable in a fast-paced environment. - Strong project management and organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. - A strategic mindset with a passion for building scalable, data-driven, and efficient compliance programs.
