Position Summary
We are looking for a focused and analytical individual to join our Compliance team for a high-impact, 3-month project. The primary objective of this role is to support the AML Operations unit in managing high volumes of transaction monitoring alerts and ensuring the timely filing of regulatory reports.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Supporting Team Leaders: Reviewing and proposing disposition of AML/Transaction Monitoring alerts within established SLAs.
- Investigation: Consolidate and conduct research to identify suspicious patterns or clarify customer activity and make meaningful recommendations.
- Report Filing and actions: Draft and prepare Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) including offboarding and blacklisting, within the established SLAs.
- Data Entry & Documentation: Ensuring all case notes are comprehensive, audit-ready, and align with internal policies.
- Quality Assurance: Maintaining a high standard of accuracy to ensure right-first-time disposition.
Key Requirements:
- Experience/Education: Current student or recent tertiary (Diploma / Bachelor Degree) graduate in Business, Law, Finance, Banking or a related field. Prior experience in AML/KYC experience is a strong plus.
- The Compliance Eye: A natural curiosity and the ability to spot red flags in complex data sets.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Excel (vlookups and pivot tables are your friends) and quick adaptability to new banking software. Prior experience or knowledge in Transaction Monitoring systems or equivalent alert systems is a plus.
- Efficiency: Self motivated and enjoy working in fast pace environment.
- Integrity: Absolute discretion when handling sensitive financial data.
- Able to commit full time internship between April to June 2026.
Please note this is full time 3 months internship position.
