What You'll be Doing
We are looking for an experienced and highly accountable professional to lead global anti-money laundering (AML) compliance efforts. The role requires the ability to report all AML and compliance-related activities, frameworks, and implementation approaches fluently in English to regulators, investors, and other stakeholders.
Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
- Manage and enhance the AML/CFT framework in line with local regulations and FATF standards
- Oversee KYC, CDD/EDD, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and STR/SAR reporting
- Conduct AML/CFT risk assessments and implement risk mitigation measures
Compliance
- Act as a key point of contact with regulators and support regulatory filings, inspections, and reviews
- Provide compliance advice for new products, services, and business initiatives
- Perform internal compliance reviews and audits, identify control gaps, and drive remediation
- Oversee employee conflict-of-interest declarations and ensure adherence to the code of conduct
Who We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- 8-12 years of AML/compliance experience in payments, banking, fintech, or financial services
- CAMS certification required (additional compliance or legal qualifications are a plus)
- In-depth knowledge of local AML/CFT regulations, company law, banking confidentiality requirements, and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR or equivalent local regulations)
- Familiarity with leading AML transaction monitoring systems (e.g., Actimize, SAS, FICO TONBELLER) and screening tools (e.g., World-Check, LexisNexis). Ability to guide product and engineering teams in the iterative optimization of in-house systems and tools, with strong data analysis capabilities for risk identification
- Strong understanding of digital banking business models, including mobile payments, digital wallets, P2P transfers, payment gateways, offline payments, card payments, and POS systems, as well as associated risks
- Fluent in English and Chinese, in order to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external regulators. Able to draft professional reports and deliver presentations in English
