Our client is a global MedTech organisation with an established international footprint and a strong reputation in its category. The business is continuing to invest and grow across Asia, increasing both scale and complexity across Asia markets. As the organisation evolves, there is a clear mandate to strengthen regional people frameworks, particularly in Compensation & Benefits, to support sustainable growth, performance, and talent retention.
Why this role exists
This role sits at the heart of how the organisation attracts, motivates, and retains talent across Southeast Asia. It is not about maintaining the status quo - it is about strengthening, harmonising, and evolving compensation and rewards frameworks to support a growing, increasingly complex business.
We are looking for a COE-calibre Compensation & Benefits leader who is excited by change, comfortable working in ambiguity, and motivated by the opportunity to build better systems, sharper insights, and stronger decision-making capability across the region.
Partner with HR and business leaders across the region to strengthen and evolve remuneration structures, ensuring alignment with business priorities and market competitiveness.
Act as a thought partner on reward decisions, balancing market trends, internal equity, and cost discipline.
Build C&B capability within country HR teams, moving them beyond execution toward stronger advisory conversations.
Design and lead compensation analytics frameworks that enable HR and business leaders to make informed, forward-looking decisions.
Interpret market data and external benchmarks, translating insights into clear recommendations.
Harmonise compensation processes across the region while respecting local market realities.
Contribute to building a performance-driven culture through sound reward principles and governance.
Lead the design and evolution of recognition and retention programmes, with a strong focus on critical and leadership talent.
Continuously assess effectiveness of reward initiatives on attraction, engagement, and retention outcomes.
Use data and insights to refine programmes rather than relying on one-size-fits-all solutions.
Lead compensation conversations with HRBPs and senior business leaders, including complex and sensitive cases.
Provide clear, credible guidance grounded in data, principles, and market insight - not just policy interpretation.
Communicate compensation programmes with clarity and influence across diverse stakeholder groups.
Partner closely with HRIS teams to ensure Workday processes, definitions, and data integrity support compensation decision-making.
Translate HR and compensation data into clear people insights, using rewards to help shape desired behaviours and outcomes.
Lead regional C&B projects from design to delivery, ensuring outcomes are achieved within scope and timeline.
Manage external vendors and consultants to deliver high-impact outcomes aligned to organisational priorities.
Play a key role in annual performance and compensation planning cycles, with an eye on continuous improvement.
You are someone who:
Is direct, credible, and trusted, with consistency between words and actions
Enjoys improving systems - from incremental process enhancements to full redesigns
Sees diversity of perspectives and cultures as a strength and actively leverages them
Is curious, analytical, and comfortable challenging existing practices
Thinks beyond execution to long-term organisational impact
Builds strong networks across functions, geographies, and levels
Communicates with influence - adapting style to senior leaders, HR teams, and partners alike
Thrives in environments undergoing change and growth
You will work closely with:
Regional and country business leaders
Country HR and HRBP teams across Asia
Regional HR leadership
External vendors, consultants, and market data partner.
Strong analytical capability with the confidence to translate data into recommendations
Track record of influencing stakeholders and delivering outcomes in complex environments
Exposure to Medical Devices, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or similarly regulated industries is an advantage
Office-based role with regional stakeholder engagement
Approximately 10-20% regional travel
This role is ideal for a C&B professional who has mastered regional execution and is now ready to shape frameworks, influence decisions, and drive organisational impact.
