Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to create a portfolio of written, visual, and multimedia content developed in a professional corporate environment. You will gain practical experience taking content from an initial idea through stakeholder coordination, production, approval, and publication. Exposure to communications across ABB's key business areas - Electrification, Automation, and Motion - complemented by hands-on experience spanning industry communications, leadership messaging, employer branding, employee engagement, community partnerships, and events management.

You will be mainly accountable for:
- Managing and maintaining ABB Singapore's content calendar, identifying local storytelling opportunities, campaigns, events, and publishing priorities in collaboration with business divisions.
- Adapting to global and business-area content for Singapore audiences by adding relevant local context, insights, proof points, and stakeholder perspectives.
- Creating engaging content for social media, Viva Engage, employee communications, leadership communications, employer branding, and community partnership initiatives.
- Planning, capturing, and editing photography and video content from leadership visits, customer engagements, employee activities, and industry events.
- Transforming footage, interviews, and existing assets into short-form videos and digital content, while supporting visual storytelling and asset management.
- Supporting the planning and execution of employee engagement activities, employer-branding programs, community partnerships, and customer/stakeholder events, including logistics, vendors, timelines, and communications.
- Providing on-site event support, capture post-event stories and content, and contribute research and benchmarking for strategic initiatives such as the Customer Innovation Center.
Qualifications for the role
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Media Studies, Visual Communications, Business, or a related field.
- A good eye for visual storytelling, composition and content suited to social and digital channels.
- Clear written English, with the ability to produce concise captions, event communications and supporting copy for different audiences.
- Able to capture usable photography and video in event or other live environments using a camera or mobile device.
- Hands-on experience creating social and digital content in Canva and editing short-form videos in CapCut. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent tools would be an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage deadlines, follow up on actions and flag issues early.
- Comfortable working with different stakeholders and asking the questions needed to understand a story or complete an assignment.
- Curious about how electrification, automation and digitalization are shaping industry and infrastructure, even if these subjects are new to you.
- Proactive, dependable and attentive to detail, with a willingness to contribute to both creative work and practical coordination.
- Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
