Our client is seeking a Common Fleet Management System (CFMS) Controller responsible for ensuring the safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of bus services by managing the movement of Bus Captains and vehicles along assigned routes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control bus services to ensure punctuality and adherence to scheduled service headways.
- Communicate effectively with Bus Captains and Interchange Supervisors to support the delivery of safe and reliable services.
- Maintain professional, polite, and courteous communication with employees and external stakeholders at all times.
- Manage on-road operational issues that may impact service delivery and restore normal operations as quickly as possible.
- Maintain close coordination with emergency response agencies such as the police and fire department when required.
- Report and monitor service punctuality issues and operational concerns.
- Work closely with Interchange Supervisors and Depot Supervisors to ensure services operate according to the scheduled timetable.
- Ensure the first and last bus services for all routes operate as scheduled.
- Manage major incidents and security issues in accordance with established procedures.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to coordinate effective vehicle changeovers in the event of breakdowns.
- Perform additional duties and participate in training or development activities as assigned by the CFMS Manager.
Requirements:
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends, to ensure operational coverage.
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of the LTA contract framework.
- Strong geographical knowledge of Singapore.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively via telephone and two-way radio with a diverse workforce and community.
- Computer literate with the ability to operate or be trained in GPS-based real-time vehicle management systems such as the LTA CFMS system.
- Performance will be evaluated based on key operational indicators including Excess Wait Time, efficient deployment of Bus Captains, service punctuality, first and last bus performance, and minimising missed or curtailed trips.

- Report any injury, collision, hazardous incident, or safety concern to the Line Manager promptly.
- Provide leadership in identifying and managing workplace health and safety risks.
- Ensure the work environment is safe and that employees and contractors comply with company safety policies.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Report hazards that cannot be resolved within the authority of the role.
- Actively participate in safety and health programs and initiatives.
- Take part in emergency response drills and simulations with relevant agencies.
- Promote and support a strong culture of safety and health awareness.
