Commodity - Financial Accountant (1 year contract)

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Financial Accountant for a 1-year renewable/convertible contract with a leading global trading house. Joining a fast-paced finance team, you will take ownership of full-set accounting operations, with a strong emphasis on mark-to-market (MTM) accounting, derivative inventory valuation, and monthly financial closing.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and month-end/year-end closing routines.
• Execute daily and monthly MTM accounting for open physical and paper/derivative positions (futures, swaps, options), ensuring alignment with prevailing market prices and accounting standards.
• Perform trade inventory reconciliations and reconcile daily trading PnL against financial books; investigate and resolve position or pricing discrepancies.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 3 to 6 years of hands-on accounting experience within a physical trading house, commodity firm, or financial institution.
• Demonstrated background in handling full-set accounts and direct experience with Mark-to-Market (MTM) accounting and derivative trade life-cycle flows.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent (CPA / ACCA certification is a strong advantage).
• Open to candidates directly out of Big 4.
