Commodities Portfolio Manager

Experience: Established Portfolio Manager or senior trader with a proven investment track record

We are working with an established investment firm seeking to hire a Commodities Portfolio Manager, based in Singapore. The role carries a discretionary investment mandate and direct P&L responsibility, with exposure across energy, metals and agriculture. The successful candidate will combine macroeconomic insight with commodity fundamentals to generate investment ideas and manage risk across individual markets and broader commodity exposures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a discretionary commodities portfolio, translating macro and fundamental views into appropriately sized positions.
• Identify opportunities across outright exposures, relative value, curves, spreads and options.
• Manage broad commodity index exposures, including roll dynamics and index rebalancing.
• Develop investment views through analysis of supply and demand, inventories, pricing and market structure.
• Take ownership of portfolio construction, hedging, liquidity and drawdown management.
• Collaborate with other investment professionals on ideas connecting commodities with rates, currencies and broader macro themes.

Candidate Profile:

• A proven track record as a Commodities Portfolio Manager or senior trader with direct responsibility for risk and P&L.
• Experience investing across multiple commodity sectors.
• Strong understanding of macroeconomic drivers and commodity fundamentals.
• Practical experience with commodity futures, options and portfolio construction.
• Familiarity with commodity indices and the factors influencing their performance.
• A disciplined investment process and the ability to clearly communicate investment rationale.
