Job Description

1. Sales strategy& marketing oversight

  • Develop and execute regional commercial strategies aligned with global goals and market opportunities.
  • Lead market analysis to identify growth opportunities, competitive positioning, and pricing strategies.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform and prepare strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with the Director Tender & Proposal, Operational Director of the region, Engineering- and Legal- team to structure winning bids and contracts.

2. Realisation

  • Translate commercial strategies into targets and KPI's
  • Monitor the regional commercial performance. Lead and coordinate sales and marketing initiatives to ensure effective execution of campaigns and achievement of targets.
  • Ensure commercial teams are equipped with tools, processes, and capabilities to deliver on commercial objectives.

3. Leadership

  • Show leadership, inspire and communicate. Fostering aculture of accountability, innovation, and performance.
  • Responsible for leading, developing, and supporting ateam of employees to ensure high performance, engagement, and alignment withorganizational goals. Coach team members, and support professional development.
  • Build cross-functional collaboration between commercial,operational, technical and support teams.

4.Stakeholder Management & Networking

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and government bodies.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and regional forums.
  • Act as the voice of the region within global leadership discussions.
  • Navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, balancing commercial interests with long-term partnerships.

5.Knowledge management & optimization

  • Promote knowledge sharing across regions and teams to leverage best practices.
  • Implement systems to capture lessons learned from tenders and sales activities.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes, market trends, and technological innovations.

6.Execution

  • Monitor contract performance and client satisfaction, intervening when necessary.
  • Support upselling and cross-selling initiatives during project lifecycles.
  • Drive margin improvement through commercial optimization and risk mitigation.
