To strenghten BICOs commercial operations and partner engagement infrastructure across Asia, we are looking for a driven Commercial Operations Manager (m/f/d) - Life Science Solutions. This position plays a pivotal role in supporting and executing key strategic initiatives, sales and marketing processes and distribution enablement program. The role can be based in our Singapore office, or in designated sales territories India or Taiwan.
BICOsLife Science Solutions product portfolio encompasses award-winning devices which are used at prestigious academic and pharmaceutical labs around the world to automate workflows in numerous application areas, including stable cell line development, single-cell omics, high-throughput screening, drug discovery and cell-imaging microscopy portfolio.
This position provides a great opportunity to work with unique and patented technologies that can make a big impact in cutting edge applications with biotechs, biopharmas as well as academic clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Emerging Market Leadership and Execution- India and Taiwan
Take ownership of commercial execution and sales delivery in India and Taiwan, two high-potential growth markets
Engage directly with customers, research institutes, biopharma and build KOLs network to introduce, demonstrate, and sell Life Science Solutions offerings
Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline, ensure CRM discipline, and drive funnel progression from lead to closure
Achieve assigned sales revenue targets, with hands-on responsibility for customer outreach, partner activation, and deal closing
Actively conduct product demos, technical discussions, and pre-sales consultations, collaborating closely with application scientists and marketing teams
Handle front-line challenges including procurement processes, pricing negotiations, and follow-up coordination
Ensure strong presence at industry events, seminars, and roadshows to drive brand visibility and direct engagement with potential buyers
2. Commercial Operations & Sales Enablement
- Drive CRM discipline and ensure high-quality pipeline data for both direct and distributor-led business across Asia
- Lead consolidation of regional sales forecasts, funnel progression, and activity metrics
- Own the regular cadence of sales performance reporting and operational reviews with regional leadership
- Support the planning and coordination of Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and distributor performance reviews
- Monitor partner compliance with commercial processes, pricing strategies, and margin protection frameworks
3. Sales Target Execution & KPI Oversight
- Contribute to achieving revenue targets by driving operational rigor and partner accountability in assigned territories
- Analyze sales pipeline health and distributor performance, identifying gaps and coordinating corrective actions
- Deliver actionable insights and data-driven reports to support sales growth and KPI achievement
- Proactively coordinate with country teams and distributors to align daily execution with strategic priorities
3. Regional Marketing Coordination
- Collaborate with Global Marketing to localize and deploy campaigns aligned with regional commercial goals
- Coordinate regional marketing initiatives, events, and webinars, ensuring consistent brand messaging
- Engage directly with local partners and agencies to adapt messaging, content, and materials to market needs
- Track campaign ROI and effectiveness to inform future strategy
4. Distribution Partner Management & Enablement
- Support implementation of BICOs Distribution Toolbox and commercial excellence frameworks
- Track distributor performance metrics, feedback, and compliance follow-up
- Oversee documentation processes related to distributor contracts, assessments, and business planning
- Assist with onboarding and training coordination for new partners, ensuring operational readiness
5. Channel Development & Business Expansion
- Source and assess potential new channel partners in underpenetrated markets
- Coordinate closely with local teams and global leadership to evaluate strategic fit and partner capability
- Maintain active communication with key partners to ensure business continuity and growth momentum
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or a related scientific discipline is mandatory
- Minimum 710 years of experience in the life sciences, diagnostics, or biotech sector, with a proven track record in commercial execution and operations
- Prior experience managing or supporting channel partners in Asia, with strong knowledge of commercial structures and distributor engagement
- Familiarity with laboratory workflows, diagnostic applications, and technical selling processes
- Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional coordination, track complex metrics, and influence operational outcomes
- Strong working knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., SugarCRM, Salesforce) and commercial reporting tools
- Experience in Asia Pacific markets, especially China, India, and Oceania, is preferred
- Understanding of commercial compliance, pricing governance, and distributor evaluation frameworks
- Familiarity with Asia-specific marketing platforms, localization practices, and campaign execution
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; fluency in English is required; Mandarin or additional Asian language skills are an advantage
- Willingness to travel up to 40% across the region
