Job Description

Brief Summary

Join a dynamic team as a Commercial Manager, where you'll play a critical role in overseeing contract management and financial controls while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities

  1. Contract & Commercial Management:
  2. Oversee pre- and post-contract management, including tender reviews, negotiation, claims, and variations.
  3. Regulatory Compliance:
  4. Ensure strict adherence to guidelines from relevant authorities.
  5. Subcontractor Oversight:
  6. Manage main contract and subcontract agreements, ensuring timely execution and risk control.
  7. Financial & Cost Control:
  8. Monitor project budgets, cash flow, and cost forecasts to maintain profitability.
  9. Payment & Settlement:
  10. Oversee monthly progress claims and payment certifications during the project completion phase.
  11. Margin Optimization:
  12. Implement cost control measures and value engineering initiatives to enhance project margins.
  13. Risk Management & Compliance:
  14. Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks across projects.
  15. Dispute Resolution:
  16. Support audit processes, insurance matters, and formal dispute resolution processes.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. 10-15 years of commercial management experience in the M&E industry, with a proven track record.
  3. Strong knowledge of standard forms of contracts commonly used in the region.
  4. Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills, with strong analytical abilities.
  5. Familiarity with ERP/Project Management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
