KeyResponsibilities
1. Commercial & Cost Management
- Lead project budgeting, cost planning, and forecasting
- Monitor project costs, cash flow, and profitability
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering initiatives
2. Contract Administration
- Draft, review, and manage contracts (main contracts and subcontracts)
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions
- Handle contract variations, claims, and dispute resolution
- Manage extension of time (EOT) and liquidated damages (LD) matters
3. Procurement & Vendor Management
- Oversee procurement strategies and tendering processes
- Evaluate and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers
- Manage subcontractor performance and payments
- Ensure procurement aligns with project budgets and timelines
4. Risk Management
- Identify commercial and contractual risks
- Develop mitigation strategies to minimize financial exposure
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies
5. Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams
- Support project teams with commercial advice and guidance
- Participate in project meetings and negotiations
6. Claims & Dispute Resolution
- Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate claims
- Manage disputes in collaboration with legal teams
- Maintain proper documentation to support claims and variations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- 8-15 years of experience in construction/commercial management
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and financial management skills
- Experience managing large-scale construction projects
