Key Responsibilities
- Provide commercial legal support on business and contract matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements related to logistics, transportation, warehousing, and supply chain services across APAC.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks, ensuring alignment with internal policies and compliance with relevant local and international regulations.
- Partner with internal stakeholders (sales, operations, finance, HR) to support commercial deals, procurement activities, and operational arrangements while managing legal exposure.
- Develop and maintain contract templates, guidelines, and contract management processes suitable for multi-country APAC operations.
- Support commercial dispute handling, including contract interpretation, negotiations, and coordination with external counsel when required.
- Maintain APAC legal entities as needed
- Monitor key legal and regulatory developments across APAC and advise on potential impacts to business operations and contracts.
- Train and mentor internal teams on commercial legal best practices and risk awareness specific to APAC.
- Partner with and work collaboratively with other members of the Company's Legal Department to support Company and Legal Department initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB or equivalent); advanced legal or business-related degree is a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in commercial contracts, corporate legal support, or risk management, preferably within logistics, transportation, supply chain, or multinational environments.
- Solid experience in handling cross-border contracts and multi-country APAC matters.
- Good understanding of APAC business and regulatory environments, including contract law fundamentals, trade-related regulations, data privacy, and compliance principles.
- Strong contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills, with a practical, business-oriented mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced, regional setting.
- Fluency in English is required; Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese is a strong plus.
- Professional certifications related to contract management or compliance (e.g., IACCM) are advantageous but not required.
- Comfortable working with multicultural teams across APAC and coordinating with external advisors when needed.
