Commercial Insurance Specialist (Underwriting Focus)

Key Responsibilities

. Support the evaluation and handling of commercial insurance risks across Property, Construction, Energy, Engineering, and Liability lines for both new and renewal business

. Assist in underwriting activities, including risk evaluation and determination of appropriate coverage terms in line with internal guidelines

. Facilitate the placement of risks with insurance partners, ensuring suitable coverage and competitive terms

. Liaise with brokers, clients, and insurers to ensure smooth processing of cases and timely resolution of underwriting-related queries

. Prepare quotations, policy documentation, and related materials with accuracy and attention to detail

. Maintain proper records and ensure timely updates in internal systems for all transactions

. Follow up on outstanding documentation to ensure completeness and compliance with audit and regulatory requirements

. Monitor turnaround time to ensure efficient processing within agreed service standards

. Support reporting and assist in basic analysis of portfolio performance and business trends

. Exposure to regional markets (APAC / Middle East)

. Perform any other duties or responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

. Experience in general insurance, underwriting, or broking environments is preferred

. Understanding of commercial insurance products

. Familiarity with underwriting processes and market practices will be an advantage

. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
