Job Description
The Commercial Executive supports the commercial management of projects throughout the bidding and execution stages. The role is responsible for coordinating contract, procurement, invoicing, insurance, cost control and project financial matters, while working closely with project, sales, procurement and other cross-functional teams. The position also supports commercial negotiations, claims and disputes, tax-related coordination across APAC, and project profitability analysis to ensure smooth project execution and effective commercial risk management.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with project teams to address commercial issues, mitigate risks, and optimize project outcomes.
• Support in resolving commercial disputes and claims in coordination with legal and project management teams.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, regulations, and compliance requirements related to project commercial management.
• Be in charge of procurement, invoicing & contract insurance matters for projects (including delivery order etc.).
• Liaise with APAC counterparts or subsidiaries on taxation matters.
• Assist in the development and implementation of commercial strategies for project bidding and execution.
• Support project managers in reviewing and conducting contractual negotiation with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate records of project contracts, pricing agreements, and commercial documents.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely sourcing of materials and services in compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and cash flows to identify variances and implement cost control measures.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, forecasts, reporting and project profitability analysis.
• Other sales support work.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in a commercial, procurement, project administration, or similar role.
- Experience in the construction, engineering, M&E, data centre, or related industry will be an advantage.
- Good organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of procurement, invoicing, contracts, and project cost administration.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
- Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities as required.
- May be required to travel to project sites.
- Must be willing to travel internationally when required.
