Job Summary
Monitor and engage in chartering market activities to support commercial operations, manage payments and emergency situations, and contribute to operational efficiency and risk management within the shipping industry.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the chartering market and gather relevant information to inform operational decisions
- Maintain effective communication with shipbrokers to support chartering activities
- Participate in chartering negotiations and commercial discussions with port authorities, shipowners, and brokers to advance business objectives
- Manage daily charter hire payments and maintain accurate ledger records to ensure financial accuracy
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations to minimize operational disruptions
- Optimize and streamline operational procedures to enhance efficiency and contribute to risk prevention and management
- Assist in managing claims and legal matters involving insurance companies and lawyers to support dispute resolution
- Adapt to variable working hours and demonstrate flexibility in handling practical business operations and unexpected situations
- Collaborate with team members while working independently to achieve operational goals
Required competencies and certifications
- Proficiency in both Chinese and English, including strong listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, with solid Chinese writing ability
