Job Description

50% Commercial Proposals, Costing & Contract Support

  • Prepare detailed cost calculations, including complex turnkey project estimates in collaboration with Finance teams.

  • Develop and submit competitive proposals and accurate invoices.

  • Work closely with the Legal/Contract team to review, interpret, and propose deviations to Terms & Conditions.

  • Negotiate pricing, scope, terms, and conditions with customers and vendors.

  • Follow up with customers to ensure timely payments.

  • Support the preparation and execution of annual sales forecasts.

  • Prepare tender submissions, pricing strategies, and sales strategies.

  • Participate in the development of long-term service agreements (LTSA).

20% Customer Engagement, Technical & Contractual Communication

  • Prepare and deliver service presentations to prospective customers.

  • Serve as the key contact between the company and customers for all commercial and technical clarifications.

  • Address technical queries with support from engineering teams.

  • Explain contract terms, commercial implications, and technical scope during meetings.

  • Maintain strong technical knowledge of relevant equipment.

15% Project Coordination, After-Sales & Issue Resolution

  • Monitor, coordinate, and report on sales, proposals, project progress, and product delivery status.

  • Assist customers with issues arising after installation or during product usage.

  • Identify problems, propose solutions, and escalate issues when needed.

  • Communicate customer feedback, claims, and improvement suggestions to management.

  • Support commercial matters related to the Service Business.

  • Collaborate with Project Teams on execution, internal processes, and risk assessment.

10% Market Insights, Analysis & Strategy Development

  • Stay updated on customer purchasing trends and after-sales needs.

  • Study competitor technologies and market trends in the power sector.

  • Identify target customers and product opportunities.

  • Analyse data to identify sales patterns, financial impact, and market trends.

  • Propose tailored solutions based on market demand and commercial viability.

5% Business Tools, Process Efficiency & Team Support

  • Become proficient in using internal business tools and platforms.

  • Propose process improvements to increase quotation accuracy and reduce turnaround time.

  • Guide team members on best practices for commercial documentation and quotation preparation.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of working experience, including 3-5 years in sales or sales support within power plants or industrial equipment industries.

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Technical, or Business disciplines.

  • Experience in sales techniques, sales support, and negotiation is an advantage.

  • Strong financial understanding (costing, pricing, margins) and ability to interpret commercial/contract terms.

  • Familiarity with legal and contractual documentation, including Incoterms and local regulations.

  • Knowledge of site working conditions.
