Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Business Intelligence
- Gather and analyze market intelligence to identify opportunities and risks
- Study customer behaviors, buying patterns, and emerging trends
- Evaluate evolving customer expectations and demands
- Contribute to internal market studies, surveys, and overall strategy development
Commercial - Leasing Activity
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to grow market share
- Prospect and onboard new clients, including obtaining financial reports for credit assessment
- Analyze customer requirements and design tailored leasing solutions that meet mutual objectives
- Continuously review contract terms against current market conditions to maximize profitability
- Monitor leasing activity trends and analyze imbalances in assigned regions
Oneway Activity - Lease, Resale & One-Tripper Units
- Expand the portfolio of oneway carriers and partners
- Develop creative solutions to reposition lease/resale inventory from low-demand to high-demand locations
- Negotiate competitive oneway terms for new trading units with potential users
- Closely monitor overdue one-trippers to expedite redelivery to agreed locations
- Coordinate with Leasing CS teams and factories to ensure smooth collection and delivery
Contract Management
- Lead or support negotiations of container leasing agreements, ensuring alignment with company objectives and compliance standards
- Oversee contract execution and ensure accurate documentation and filing
- Safeguard legal soundness and adherence to organizational policies in all agreements
Credit Management
- Partner with Finance for credit risk assessments, billing accuracy, and invoicing processes
- Support consistent accounts receivable performance with assigned accounts
- Maintain and regularly update global lessee contact lists
Reporting & Collaboration
- Deliver regular reports on leasing and oneway activities, market conditions, and financial performance
- Actively participate in weekly calls/meetings with line managers and follow through on action plans
- Document and share client visit reports, customer intelligence, and business opportunities via CRM
- Represent the company at client meetings and industry events, including occasional travel
