Job Description

As the Collection Merchandising Manager, you will drive the strategic development and execution of seasonal merchandising plans, optimizing sales performance and profitability while ensuring strong alignment with the brand's vision and evolving market trends.

Job Responsibilities

Market and Competition Analysis

  • Conduct market and competitors research to identify new trends and opportunities
  • Suggest product line adjustments based on market insights

Collection Planning & Design Direction

  • Develop collection and product strategies for annual and capsule launches, defining product positioning in line with the brand's image and strategy.
  • Create and communicate detailed design briefs based on trends and market needs, ensuring concepts align with brand goals, technical requirements, and collection opportunities.

Product Development & Collection Management

  • Oversee the end-to-end product development process (from sampling to production) by coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing collection calendars, codifications, and sample inventories to ensure quality and timely delivery.
  • Prepare buying tools leading up to showrooms (Masterfile, product guide, buyers guide) and maintain product data and Merchandising files throughout buying campaign

Budget Management & Retail Alignment

  • Monitor and optimize sample budgets while setting target prices and defining price positioning that align with brand margin goals and market feedback.
  • Provide storytelling and design content to support retail training and marketing initiatives, ensuring cohesive product launches that reflect the brand's identity.

  • Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related fields
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in collection merchandising or product management, preferably in luxury, fashion or jewellery
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint. Prior experience with Photoshop and PLM software is advantageous
  • Strong aesthetic sense, creativity, and ability to understand and anticipate trends
  • Deep understanding of product quality and innovation with a passion for fashion
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with designers, suppliers, and various stakeholders
