CNC PROGRAMMER

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to plan machining operations.
• Set up CNC milling machines (HURCO), including loading materials, securing workpieces, and selecting tooling.
• Program CNC machines using G-code or CAM (MASTER CAM 3D) software.
• Monitor machine operations, including speeds, feeds, and tool changes, to ensure product quality.
• Inspect finished parts to verify adherence to specifications and make necessary adjustments.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary adjustments to optimize production.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to resolve production-related issues.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

• Technical training or certification in CNC machining or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings and blueprints.
• Knowledge of CNC programming and operation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
• Understanding of materials and cutting tools.
• Safety-conscious with knowledge of machine safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in oil and gas jobs are added advantage.
