CNC PROGRAMMER
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be guided by the Senior Manufacturing Engineer to carry out your duties. Your primary duty would be to write CNC programmes through the review of drawings
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review customer drawings for any errors or clarification before start of jobs
- Prepare geometric layout of designs using Mastercam. Knowledge of FeatureCam is an added advantage
- Actively involved in improvement projects
- Write programs and modify existing ones for increased efficiency. Back up the confirmed programs into server once FA is proven
- Analyze and selects speeds and cutting tools for programs and design fixtures for machining purposes
- Perform detailed investigations on any machining defects
- Prepare set up sheet, measuring sketch and tools list before releasing the programs for each new job and repeated jobs
- Translate instructions into a Computer Automated Manufacturing (CAM) program
- Monitor all programs to make sure they follow blueprint instructions and safely and successfully complete the task
- Support vendors on technical issues raised on drawings and other technical aspects
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing engineering
- Broad knowledge in machine tools, metal works and safety awareness
- Minimum 2 years in programming perferably in the Oil & Gas industry
- Well versed in milling and turning process
- Strong in computer programming skills, algebra, trigonometry and physics
- Good literacy & communication skills and have an eye for details
- Organized and able to work independently
