Able to do calculation for programming including where materials should be cut
Checks completed programs by running simulations or test
Determines sequence of operations in a program
Good knowledge of write programs and modifies existing ones to increase efficiency
Choose and recommend appropriate tool that will be needed
Liaise with tooling department on new cutting tools that need to be purchase
Troubleshoot and communicates with machinists who will use the programs and creates instructions for machinists
Monitors all programs to make sure they follow the blueprints instructions and safety and successfully complete the task and comply with all safety regulations
Requirements:
Polytechnic Diploma in Engineering/ NTC-2 in Machining Trade are preferred. Candidates with experience will still be consider irregardless of education level.
Minimum 5 years of experience as CNC programmer/ machinist in manufacturing environment.
Strong analytical and effective problem-solving skill
Strong attention to detail
Ability to multitask and manage tight deadlines
Proficient in MS Office (MS words, Excel, Power Point).
Relevant experience in manufacturing industries with strong machining background.
Familiar with CNC programming and CNC machining.
Familiar with CAD software (e.g. UG, AutoCAD)
Good understanding of manufacturing cost estimation.
Good interpersonal and communication skill and ability to interface with all levels of people.
