Job Summary
Operate and program CNC horizontal and vertical milling machines to produce precision components, ensuring adherence to technical drawings and quality standards in oil and gas or marine industry settings.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC horizontal and vertical milling machines to manufacture precision parts that meet engineering specifications and quality standards in oil and gas or marine industry environments
- Create and optimize CNC programs to improve machining efficiency and accuracy for horizontal and vertical milling operations
- Read and interpret technical drawings and engineering blueprints to guide machining processes and ensure compliance with design requirements
- Apply knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) symbols to verify part dimensions and tolerances during production
- Use precision measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, Vernier height gauges, and micrometers to inspect and verify component dimensions for quality assurance
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience operating CNC milling machines in the oil and gas or marine industries
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or ITE equivalent
