Job Summary
Perform CNC machine operations including set-up, layouts, and tooling to machine component parts within specified tolerances. Conduct in-process inspections and final quality checks to ensure compliance with drawings and process sequences.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines by performing set-up, layouts, and selecting appropriate materials and tooling equipment to produce parts accurately
- Machine component parts to meet dimensional specifications and tolerance requirements
- Interpret engineering drawings and follow the correct sequence of machining processes
- Conduct in-process inspections and final quality checks on machined parts to ensure adherence to quality standards
- Implement quality control procedures to maintain product consistency and reliability
- Adapt to additional assigned duties as required to support production goals
Required competencies and certifications
- NITEC in Precision Engineering or equivalent certification
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience in CNC milling and programming
- Proficient knowledge of Mastercam software, CNC G-code and M-code programming
- Experience operating Fanuc and Mitsubishi CNC control systems
