Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Machining Expertise: Proficient in operating various machining equipment, particularly CNC machines. Experience with FANUC controllers.
- Jigs & Fixtures: Skilled in the design, application, maintenance, and troubleshooting of jigs and fixtures for mechanical components.
- Drawing Interpretation: Capable of reading and evaluating mechanical part drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, and cosmetic specifications.
- Mechanical Design Knowledge: Solid understanding of mechanical component design, structural specifications, and effective problem-solving techniques.
- Process Familiarity: Well-versed in CNC and injection molding (IM) process flows, including machine operation, programming, and resolving mechanical and material-related issues.
- Inspection Experience: Prior experience with first-article inspections and mold qualification for mechanical components.
Additional Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical design, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Technical Knowledge: Grasp of machine tools, various cutting tools, and their processing characteristics.
- Materials Experience: Foundational knowledge of materials is essential. Experience in metal machining plastic machining experience is a plus.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Proficient in performing tolerance analysis and troubleshooting machining issues.
- Software Proficiency: Skilled in CAM software programming (e.g., Mastercam, UG NX CAM) and debugging G-code and M-code.
- CAD & Office Tools: Proficient in 2D/3D CAD software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Soft Skills: Must be proactive with communication and coordination abilities.
