We are partnered with a financial institution to look for a Cloud Solution Architect to drive the design and delivery of enterprise cloud platforms across a regional environment. This role is hands-on. You will own architecture decisions and work closely with engineering teams to implement and deliver solutions.
Responsibilies:
- Design and deliver end-to-end cloud infrastructure solutions
- Translate business needs into scalable and secure cloud architectures
- Work closely with engineers to define and review low-level designs
- Own technical decisions and sign off on implementation
- Drive infrastructure build, deployment, and optimisation across projects
- Ensure strong security, compliance, and governance standards
- Automate infrastructure using IaC and scripting
- Engage stakeholders across infrastructure and governance teams
- Communicate risks, trade-offs, and key decisions clearly
- Support operations and step in during critical incidents
Requirments
- 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, or platform engineering
- Experience operating as a Solution Architect or in a similar capacity
- Strong experience designing and delivering cloud infrastructure solutions
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Good understanding of cloud security, governance, and compliance
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or ARM
- Strong knowledge of networking, connectivity, and identity in cloud
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Scripting skills in Python or PowerShell
- Ability to work across teams and influence stakeholders
Nice to have
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience in financial services or regulated environments
- Exposure to end-user compute or device management tools
- Experience working in large enterprise environments
