Role Title: Cloud FinOps Lead - Azure
Experience: 4+ years
Location: Singapore
Contract Duration: 12 months & extendable (Extension is subject to project requirements.)
Work Mode: Work From Office (WFO) role.
Location Requirement: Must be currently residing in Singapore
About the Role:
We are seeking a Cloud FinOps Lead to establish and drive our Cloud Financial Management practice with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure. In this role, you will bridge cloud engineering, finance, and business operations to optimize cloud spending, establish cost transparency, and ensure maximum business value from cloud investments.
Key Responsibilities
- FinOps Governance: Define cost allocation standards across subscriptions, resource groups, and tags; establish showback/chargeback models.
- Cost Optimization: Drive cost reduction across compute, storage, and database services using Microsoft Cost Management, Azure Advisor, Savings Plans, RIs, and Azure Hybrid Benefit.
- Financial Planning: Partner with Finance and Engineering on budget planning, monthly variance analysis (Budget vs. Actuals), and consumption forecasting.
- Engineering Engagement: Collaborate with Architects during Day 0 solution design to build cost-aware architecture baselines.
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years in IT Cloud/Infrastructure or Tech Finance, with 2+ years of hands-on experience in public cloud cost management (Microsoft Azure focus).
- Strong working knowledge of Azure billing structures, subscriptions, and optimization tools.
- Advanced Excel & data analysis capabilities (Power BI is a plus).
- Excellent communication skills to bridge technical engineering and executive finance teams.
- Must be based in Singapore.
