Cloud Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Cloud & Infrastructure Support

• Assist in implementing, supporting, and troubleshooting cloud and infrastructure solutions across platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Huawei Cloud, and Alibaba Cloud.
• Support cloud solution design, Proof-of-Concept (POC) testing, migration activities, and project delivery under the guidance of senior Cloud Engineers and Architects.
• Provide day-to-day technical support to customers and internal teams for cloud and infrastructure-related issues.
• Assist in monitoring cloud environments, system performance, availability, security, and resource utilization.
• Support basic configuration and administration of servers, networking, storage, virtualisation, Linux and Windows environments.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation, technical procedures, compliance checklists, and basic governance requirements.
• Assist with post-project reviews and continuous improvement of cloud and infrastructure solutions.

Data & AI Support

• Assist in implementing and supporting cloud-based data and AI solutions under the guidance of senior engineers and architects.
• Gain exposure to cloud data services such as data lakes, data warehouses, databases, data pipelines, and analytics platforms.
• Support basic data ingestion, data integration, and data processing activities across cloud environments.
• Assist in deploying and supporting AI/ML workloads and services using cloud-based platforms and tools.
• Support Proof-of-Concept (POC) activities involving Generative AI, Machine Learning, AI services, and data analytics.
• Assist in troubleshooting basic issues related to data pipelines, cloud data services, AI services, and application integrations.
• Work with senior engineers to understand and apply basic concepts of data security, governance, access control, data quality, and responsible AI.
• Stay updated on emerging cloud, data, AI, and automation technologies and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

• Work closely with senior Cloud Architects, Data/AI specialists, and Pre-Sales teams to support technical demonstrations, tenders, POCs, and customer engagements.
• Coordinate with vendors, technology partners, and internal teams to learn and onboard new cloud, data, and AI solution offerings.
• Support Pre-Sales activities by preparing technical materials, solution demonstrations, and basic technical documentation.
• Provide technical inputs to Marketing and internal teams for technology showcases, workshops, events, and customer demonstrations.
• Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and continuously develop technical skills across cloud, infrastructure, data, and AI technologies.

Qualifications / Skills

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience are welcome.
• Basic exposure to one or more cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Huawei Cloud, or Alibaba Cloud through internships, academic projects, certifications, or work experience.
• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networking, storage, virtualisation, and Linux/Windows operating systems.
• Basic understanding of databases, data management, data processing, and data analytics concepts.
• Basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Generative AI, or Large Language Models (LLMs) is an added advantage.
• Exposure to data or AI tools/services through academic projects, internships, certifications, or personal projects is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Python, SQL, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Familiarity with ITSM processes such as incident, change, problem, and asset management is a plus.
• Basic understanding of cloud security, identity and access management (IAM), data security, and governance is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset with eagerness to learn and grow in Cloud, Data, and AI domains.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work with senior engineers, architects, customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
