Job Description
- Design, deploy, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure on GCP
- Manage and support GKE clusters, including deployments, scaling, networking, upgrades, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker
- Work with GCP Dataproc to provision and manage clusters for distributed data-processing workloads
- Support Spark/Hadoop workloads running on Dataproc
- Develop and maintain Terraform Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automated GCP resource provisioning
- Create reusable Terraform configurations/modules and manage infrastructure changes through version control
- Configure and manage GCP services including VPC, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, Cloud Logging, and Cloud Monitoring
- Implement GCP networking, security, IAM policies, service accounts, and access controls
- Support CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments
- Monitor cloud environments and troubleshoot infrastructure, Kubernetes, networking, and application issues
- Implement cloud security, scalability, availability, and performance best practices
- Automate operational activities using scripting and Infrastructure as Code
- Work closely with DevOps, Data Engineering, Application Development, and Architecture teams
- Participate in production support, incident management, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization
- 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering / DevOps, with significant hands-on experience in GCP
- GCP - Strong hands-on experience
- GKE - Strong hands-on experience
- Google Cloud Dataproc - Hands-on experience
- Terraform - Strong hands-on experience
- Kubernetes and Docker
- GCP networking - VPC, subnets, firewall rules
- GCP IAM and service accounts
- Cloud monitoring and logging
- CI/CD concepts and tools
- Production cloud support and troubleshooting
